EID MILAN PARTY
An eid milan party was arranged by SHADOW
ORGANIZATION at Sabri Hotel
in Samundri on September 22, 2011.The purpose of this eid milan party was to bring promote interfaith and social harmony in the Muslim and Christian communities. Professor Dr. Naveed Shahzad, Head of the Islamic Studies Department, Government
Post Graduate College Samundri was the Chief Guest. He appreciated the
step taken by the SHADOW Organization and further said that we the
teaching community can play a wonderful role to promote the culture of
peace and harmony. We are all human beings and no one is superior to
any one. It is the utmost need of the time to play our role because
teachers are the ambassadors of peace and students do what they learn
from their teachers. Professor Sajid Mehmood Baig, M.Phil in English Linguistics said,
there must be such sermonizes where people of different faiths be
provided opportunities to come closer to each other because such type
of healthy activities can be very effective for the promotion of peace
and harmony. Professor Anjum James Paul President/Director of the SHADOW
Organization thanked all the participants and requested them to play
their role as teachers so that values like peace, harmony, and
acceptance be promoted in the students.
